In this episode of #AskBuro, our lifestyle editor Denise Kok recommends the best dining spots for visitors to Singapore

I get asked this question so often that I feel like a walking food directory. However, it's a question that feels somewhat refreshing because it isn't someone picking your brains about the newest cafe/bar/restaurant in town. Hosting friends from overseas? Stick with the joints that have earned their badge of honour for turning out consistently good food. These guys don't care about what's trending. Their immediate concern is to fill you up with solid grub that'll have your friends booking their next flight back. They're also sited around heritage sites and places of interest, making for great pit stops between your friends' trigger-happy moments.
