The Macallan and Lalique unveil their final masterpiece featuring a 65-year-old whisky
The sixth and final incarnation from The Macallan in Lalique Six Pillars collection is upon us. Dubbed the Peerless Spirit decanter, this masterpiece wraps up a decade-long partnership between The Macallan and Lalique on a high note. Here, you'll find the Scottish distillery's finest single malt whisky bottled in a bespoke decanter handcrafted by artisans of the French crystal maison.
The decanter was conceptualised around a single peerless drop of The Macallan, paying tribute to one of the most precious spirits in the world — and this one surely is. Inside, you'll find a 65-year-old whisky — one of the oldest and rarest ever released by the distillery — beautifully aged in sherry-seasoned oak casks. This world-class whisky is exceptionally balanced, boasting a comforting aroma of honey-dipped Madagascan vanilla pods and Moroccan dates complemented by hints of cracked black pepper and delicately toasted cocoa.
As all precious things goes, this vial of liquid gold will be released in a limited number of 450 bottles, so if you aren't afraid to jump onboard the gold-class whisky train, ready yourself for the release of this fine work of art come July.
The Peerless Spirit decanter is valued at S$47,000 + 7% GST and is available from July 2016.
