Hello from Maine! I m Julie @rudyjude, owner of plant dyed clothing line @rudyjudeco. I live at the very top of an island off the coast of Maine in a small house designed and built by my @anthonyeesteves. Our house and things have gone through many evolutions over the past few years, we have two young sons and we do our best to adapt our space and objects to maximize play and minimize annoyance (my own). We re not in a precious phase of our lives so the objects I will introduce you to are mostly thrifted or handmade.
1. Hi this is me in my bathroom, hiding from everyone, as you do. To my left, your right, is a funny old collapsible hat that I ve never worn ever.
2. This is our dining table, it s old and was really lovely but we ve had our way with it and now it s the happy home to many water rings and grease stains. On it is our beloved tape player. We have a small collection of great tapes but somehow it s usually playing Mickey Mouse Christmas. My new favorite mug from @ginnysimsceramics (I had to set an alarm to buy this, they sell fast!) andvase from my friend @a_n_k_ceramics
3. A corner in our kitchen with a painting of my mom by my childhood friend s mom Hattie Barker. An arrow that Diogo and I made with @ldbastudio, an old brush, a gifted jawbone, a small plate from @rebekahmiles and this perfect wire dish rack that I thrifted. Oh and our candles! We burn a lot of candles and we buy them all locally from Danica Candles
4. We repurposed this old secretary s desk into a hutch for our dishes, we bought it locally from @trilliumsoaps. It s filled with ceramics from friends @meghanflynnceramics and @a_n_k_ceramics some enamelware from eBay. The tiger mask was Diogo s halloween costume, and the only things we make holes in the wall for are our friend @sashaborzoi s photos.
5. Our bed is in the main room and we use strictly @dazedbutamazed linens. Our railing up the stairs is just a big stick we found right out back.
6. This is our whole house, it s about 600sq feet so we spend a lot of time here in the dooryard. Since quarentine started I ve developed a healthy obsession with buying lawn chairs off eBay, so here s most of them. Thanks for coming over!
