Why do we pretend teen pregnancy does not exist in Singapore? Why is it a situation that deserves harsher judgement and moral myopia?
Where is the empathy and positivity towards a teenager struggling, possibly fearful and unsure, and needing to make life impacting choices and decisions, in the shadow of societal or cultural projections of shame, surprise, and discomfort?
Go support 'A Thousand Miles Away', and applaud them for taking on teen pregnancy and the dynamics around it.
My opinion - comfort, support, and counsel, that's what's needed.
