As we enter week four of Singapore's circuit breaker, so has the pretense of high aspirations with our physique, hobbies and spirituality. For some of us with vaguer work schedules, even waking up at 9 every morning feels like a victory. We laughed at John Mayer and BJ Novak (he plays Ryan in The Office) riffing on Instagram about a "new scientific study" that suggests the world may have subconsciously skipped a day in our heads during this quarantine, mistaking Sunday for Saturday.
We laughed because while it's not true, in a way, it is.
While we've lost out on our luxuries of freedom and travel, we've also (albeit by force) acquired unadulterated time to ourselves.
