Not your average post-workout affair

Hands up if another mention of the word 'athleisure' by a fashion savvy yogi will send your eyes rolling towards the heavens. We get it — the obsession with sweat-wicking leggings, sports-bra-cum-crop-tops and white sneakers is no longer hot news. And frankly, we don't think we can deal with yet another celebrity collab aimed at helping you channel that "post-workout look" à la Gigi Hadid.

Which explains why we've kept mum on the athleisure front for the last couple of seasons — until, the spring runways upped the ante by dipping their toes into water sports territory. Adapted for the concrete jungle, wetsuit-inspired ensembles come by way of streamlined suiting at Courrèges; a slip-on-and-go dress at Alexander Wang; and a Versace one-piecer riffing off the eye-popping colour scheme of '90s workout gear.

Here, we present three daring alternatives heralding the death of that crop top, leggings and bomber jacket coalition. Now that is how an athleisure enthusiast should make a splash this season. Hear ye, hear ye.
