The best street style from Milan Fashion Week SS18
DAY 5: HEAD IN THE GAME
Arguably the biggest trend this season is the statement headpiece, and we blame the FW17 runways for it. From Marc Jacobs to Gucci, Dior and Miu Miu, berets, cloche hats and headbands proved to be the indispensible accessory. Below, the street style corterie embrace headgear of all forms.
DAY 4: ALL AT EASE
While the fashion week circuit is probably the adventure of a lifetime for any stylophile, behind all that glamour lies the reality of 15 hour days for two weeks straight. As they say, there's no rest for the wicked, but that doesn't mean you can't kick back and relax — sartorially, that is. To shape up with minimal effort, a floor-length robe is your best bet.
DAY 3: POSITIVE THINKING
Ain't nobody got time for naysayers — at least in the realm of Versace. The brand's fall 2017 collection was all about powerful messaging with 'Courage', 'Loyalty' and 'Love' plastered across anything and everything, turning their show attendees into a pack of very stylish messengers. Word.
DAY 2: BUM'S THE WORD
Spring/summer 2018 sees the questionable fanny pack make its glorious return. The gents tried their hand at it, now cue the ladies. Nothing says they've got this like a strong showing of Gucci and Louis Vuitton x Supreme.
DAY 1: GUCCIFICATION
The Gucci universe is colourful, madcap and intoxicating, and most of us will guzzle whatever cool-aid Alessandro Michele dispenses season after season. A small slice of the phenomenon — that is, to 'Guccify youself' and subscribe to maximalism (AKA 'Guccification') — takes over the streets as the Florentine brand kicks off Milan Fashion Week.
