The best street style from Milan Men's Fashion Week SS18
What: Milan Men's Fashion Week spring 2018
Where: Milan, Italy
When: 16 - 20 June 2017
DAY 3: GET SHORTY
The sight of men hiking up their hems in the name of fashion fills us with glee. And it's not just sartorial equality that we are rooting for. No longer contained within the beach life, shorts among suiting is an allusion to a stringent dress code melting away with the summer heat. Male rompers will never happen (not if we have a say over it) but their next of kin, the short set — seen below in silk and brocade — is already here. Skipped leg day, did we? It's fate then, as khaki shorts are kicking and screaming their way back from style suicide. Whatever you do, best leave that polo at home.
DAY 2: PRIME TIME
This season's hottest primary colour commands respect. Choices: Surrender all the limelight (with pared back separates), find harmony in a neighboring hue (royal blue makes excellent pairing) or butter it up with lots of 24K magic. As the saying goes, when life give you lemons, dress it up... or something like that.
DAY 1: TOURIST BUSINESS
A vibrant camp-collar printed shirt is the foundation of any dandy's summer arsenal. Whether its the pseudo vintage persuasian by Gucci or a vacation-inspired Hawaiian shirt by Saint Laurent, ditch your austere, cream linen suit for an popping print on casual Fridays and watch it do wonders for your peer-to-peer interactions. Pro tip: Pair with crisp trousers — and not bermudas — to shake off the 'I got this in Guam!' connotation.
