YSL unveils their latest collection which includes surfboards, beach balls, and more.
The fashion house's summer range doesn't stop at purses, sandals, and bikinis, mind. Instead, they've put their stamp on beach essentials in the vein of flip-flops, beach balls, and a limited edition marble vinyl table. The latter was created in collaboration with Pierre Riffaud, known for his work amongst music lovers seeking high-quality turntables. Talk about branching out, huh?
A Gucci movie is due to be released in November 2021.
The film is said to center around the murder of Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of the Italian label's founder, Guccio. So far, there are many notable names associated with the production including Robert De Niro, Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Lady Gaga, and (naturally), Gucci super fan, Jared Leto.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have dropped a series of WAP-inspired merch.
This includes raincoats, hoodies, sweaters, and tees — all of which is emblazoned with the words WAP in varying hues. Seeing how the single has been the highest streaming debut in 2020, we have no doubt that the clothing collection will be (equally) as coveted. Get those fingers working to snag a few pieces before they inevitably sell out.
Burberry is now doing face masks.
Each face covering features antimicrobial technology, comes in the brand's signature print in either blue or brown, and is available exclusively online. A portion of the mask sales will go to the Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund, which helps assist communities and groups impacted by the pandemic. Oh, and did we mention that it comes with a matching pouch, too? Translation: you'll never lose your mask in the depths of your cavernous purse again. How thoughtful.
Chucky gets the Supreme treatment.
Unconventional as it might be, we suppose we didn't expect anything less seeing how there are Supreme toothpaste and Oreo cookies in existence. The doll is decked out in fresh new threads comprising Supreme overalls and a rainbow sweater while brandishing his very own Supreme knife - which you purchase separately, we might. Uh, cool...?
Christopher Kane hands over his Instagram to journalism students from Central Saint Martins.
This was done so as to give young Black and minority students a chance to network and connect with a wider pool of fashion creatives. Kane stated in an email with Vogue, "When we spoke to Judith Watts, our friend and head of the BA Journalism course at CSM, it was clear that network access was a real issue for young kids on the BA journalism course; we have a big audience on Instagram so decided to offer them a takeover and ask our personal network to support them and help get them started in their career."
Adidas teams up with menwear label, Noah, to launch a new collection.
The range is supposedly inspired by Noah founder, Brendon Babenzien's, love for the ocean. This translates to sneakers and apparel made from Prime Blue, a knitted material crafted from upcycled objects which includes Parley Ocean Plastic. Apt, indeed.
Selfridges will be conducting fashion rental services in a bid to be more environmentally-friendly.
Titled Project Earth, the company aims to collaborate with other brands to produce sustainable capsule collections; host talks surrounding consumerism and the environment; as well as introduce a fashion rental service so as to reduce waste. Kudos all around, we say.
