Warehouse imbues fall/winter 2017 with Brit eccentricity

A best-of collection

The English high street brand releases a retro edit in tune with its roots

'70s, '80s, '90s. These three decades have had the fashion planet orbit around them for the last two seasons, spinning to a raging revival on the runways. High street name Warehouse is no exception. Embracing the allure of patent leather, softly pleated chiffon, chunky knitwear, patchworked florals and glen plaid suits, design director Emma Cook lends the decades' design tropes a touch of Brit eccentricity — by way of shape and silhouette.

An asymmetrical ruffled hem upon an unassuming floral dress, a smattering of cutouts on an empire-waisted frock, and nothing but a bralette and waist-defining leggings under peek-a-boo crochet number. A collection for the stylophile to pick apart, play with and layer in to devise a personal spin on the colourful inspiration of Warehouse fall/winter 2017. Browse the full collection above.

Available at Warehouse stores from September 2017.
