A series of collector's pieces to frame and flex

Vintage shopping is a sport. It puts an individual's commitment to a product to trial; his/her love for a designer to the test. Regardless whether it is online or in a physical store, the hunt is part of the process. One doesn't often emerge with spoils worthy of an Insta-brag without rolling up their sleeves and getting busy (and sometimes, dirty) — unless you've been invited to a curated sale of your creative heroes' best work.

Well this, is one of those instances. In collaboration with vintage personal shopping service Byronesque, Vestiaire Collective is to host an archival pop-up online of vintage and secondhand collector's pieces from Maison Martin Margiela, Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, and Helmut Lang to name but a few. Spanning 200-odd rare garments and accessories curated by Byronesque for their significance in fashion history, keep your eyes peeled for that fabled CDG "lab coat" and the irrefutable proof that Vetements' Demna Gvasalia still has Margiela in his system.

The tip of the iceberg, in the galleries above and below.

To launch on Vestiaire Collective at 2-3pm CET on 17 April.

Products authenticated by Vestiaire Collective, Byronesque and Westwoods.
