Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange takes us to the South of France
Blue-ish pink skies and ombré azure waters. If you're imagining an idyllic scene like the best fiction books paint, then keep that thought right there. Inspired by the beauty au naturel and infectious energy of the South of France city, Marseille, model-turned-designer Inès de la Fressange yet again serves up the elusive French attitude in her latest collaboration with Uniqlo.
With that in mind, there's no points for guessing what spring/summer 2017 entails — breton stripes, effortless knit jumpers, gamine blousons and elegant cardigans, blazers, Macs and shirt dresses — a comprehensive assemblage of all things quintessentially Français. But if you're thinking Parisienne, scratch that — its appeal is in a certain countryside chic that's less polished, but just as charming. Spun from cotton and linen to combat the summer heat.
The Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange SS17 collection launches in two phases.
