Uniqlo opens a store at Northpoint City, announces upcoming J.W.Anderson, Hana Tajima and Ines de la Fressange collabs
1. A NEW STORE IN SINGAPORE'S HEARTLANDS
Setting up their 26th store on the island, Uniqlo's latest location brings its regular collections for men, women and children to Yishun's Northpoint City. The retail range focuses on work and casual wear, including UT — the graphic T-shirt selection.
Located at Northpoint City, 1 Northpoint Drive, 01-142. Now open.
2. A SECOND J.W.ANDERSON COLLABORATION
Jonathan Anderson coloured his first Uniqlo collection with traits of the British Isles. The second, to launch in April, sees the designer heading to Brighton Beach. As part of the spring/summer 2018 season, it is to echo his established MO of unisex garments in a far mellower palette — beige, white, navy and red — than the first. And given that it is a Uniqlo collection after all, functionality comes by way of pieces in fast-drying and water-repellent fabrics. A glimpse below.
J.W.Anderson x Uniqlo SS18 will be available from 20 April.
3. HANA TAJIMA FOR UNIQLO SPRING/SUMMER 2018
There are two things you need to know about UK-born designer Hana Tajima's sixth collection for Uniqlo. First, that it is to offer a wider range of poppy hues in spirit of summer, and second, that the dresses are to come in two lengths — ever more versatile. They are spun from linen as part of Uniqlo's LifeWear philosophy: Function, and practicality.
Hana Tajima for Uniqlo SS18 will arrive in stores in two drops. From 23 February and 11 May.
4. INES DE LA FRESSANGE DROPS A PYJAMAS LINE
Despite Ines de la Fressange having released nine collections for Uniqlo till date, the model-turned-designer brings something new to the table each time. For SS18, the port towns of Europe lend her garments a mariner edge. Also, crisp, striped pyjamas sets are to be included for the very first time.
Ines de la Fressange for Uniqlo SS18 will be available from 16 March.
