Tommy Jeans Coca-Cola: Tommy Hilfiger reissues his 1986 capsule collection for the iconic beverage
Quoth Andy Warhol: "You can be watching TV and see Coca-Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too". The carbonated drink's mass appeal has made its logo one of the most recognisable symbols in the modern world, and fashion designers have frequently used it as shorthand for consumerism. Moschino, Kith, Converse and Isaac Mizrahi — who for spring/summer 1994 memorably sent Kate Moss down the catwalk in a shift embellished with Coca-Cola can-sequins — have all drawn on Coke's iconographic power. But it was Tommy Hilfiger who got there first, waaay back in 1986. Now, you can recapture some of the magic with Hilfiger's 2019 reissue of the '80s-tastic Tommy Jeans Coca-Cola collection, 'cus all that's old is new again.
The Tommy Jeans Coca-Cola collection by Tommy Hilfiger is available from 5 April online at tommy.com and Tommy Jeans stores worldwide.
