Kith's Ronnie Fieg gets in bed with Moncler, brings Asics on board
Ménage à trois
If you're questioning who Ronnie Fieg is, you've got a lot to catch up on. Sneaker designer and mastermind of lifestyle store Kith, Fieg's name first circulated the block when his Asics Gel-Lyte III sneaker drew people in herds. Countless collaborations and a decade later, he now commands the respect of giants in the sportswear game. Kith, also an in-house eponymous label, tapped Adidas, Nike, Off-White, Moncler and more for its spring/summer 2018 collection, with Moncler x Kith dropping ahead and in time for a white Christmas.
Performance jackets and gillets in the former's lacquered nylon, loungewear (jumpers, sweatpants, tees) and accessories (gloves, balaclavas, backpacks, boots) present themselves as the full monty for those cruising the slopes or gearing up for a frigid season — conspicuously in Moncler's trademark trio of colours.
Fieg's relationship with Asics also sees a three-way collab on the sneaker silhouette that springboarded his repute, the cosy Gel-Lyte III iterations lined with sheepskin and sporting red, white and blue leather outers.
