Slip into summer with these Miu Miu pool slides
First impressions are often wrong. It seems to be the lesson learned in repeat in fashion — most recently with Christian Louboutin, and this pair of is-it-or-isn't-it swimwear from Vilebrequin. Even the trends you thought you'd never see again are slowly but surely crawling their way into a Big Bang of a comeback. Just you wait.
First impressions are often wrong, and it's one of the reasons why slides are still in the picture. Once resolved as a footwear strictly where large pools of water are present (unless you're a slob at a mall), they are now tolerated — applauded even — for their appearance in most casual outings, especially if they are Givenchy and are assembled with leather. Pushing that envelope is Miu Miu's new pool slides. The name is self-explanatory, so we'll share three reasons why we're eating them up this summer.
1. The Miu Miu pool slides, rendered in fondant-esque colourways, are crafted entirely in rubber. Read: You won't slip and fall into the water. Alcohol consumption notwithstanding.
2. Both the uppers and soles of the Miu Miu pool slides are embossed with flower motifs reminiscent of those from the Art Deco era.
