Miu Miu has a towering installation in town. Here's what it's about
Larger than life
In another life, we're willing to bet that Miuccia Prada would be a riveting fiction author. The backstories she dreams up each season to inspire and accompany her collections are something we look forward to discovering at press presentations, almost as much as the garments themselves. This time, the brand is all-inclusive; its Miu Lady installation an invitation to the public to learn about the accessory's craft and inspiration.
Located at Ion Orchard are two silver and red storey-high Miu Ladys, fashioned out of the same madras leather used on the life-size bags. Housed in them are short films detailing the creation of the accessory from start to finish; simply step in to be whisked behind-the-scenes. Following, a visit to their nearby boutique is mandatory. If not to gawk over the extra large Miu Lady (a one-off production) in the window display, then to peruse the extensive range in store — including an exclusive piece in Ayers snakeskin available only at Ion Orchard.
PS: Did you know that 60 separate pieces of leather are required to craft one Miu Lady bag? Find out more on-site.
Visit the Miu Lady pop-up at Ion Orchard level 1 Atrium, from 2 to 11 November.
