Louis Vuitton x Alex Israel's blankets, scarves, and shawls have us daydreaming of waves and sunsets
Multimedia artist and born-and-bred Angeleno Alex Israel is back for round three with Louis Vuitton, after a collaboration on a limited edition ArtyCapucine bag and packaging for the French house's Les Colognes perfumes. This time, he's applying his penchant for beachy wave motifs and and ombré patterns in sunset hues — both inspired by his Californian upbringing, and both of which recur frequently throughout his art — to a line of quilted, silk-cashmere blankets and scarves.
While they're definitely not made for the surf, Israel's designs would look pretty as a picture on long convertible rides down to the water; available in multiple sizes and printed with the LV monogram on the reverse, these babies will have their place in the sun for years to come.
