Yazbukey puts a cheeky spin on Lacoste's polo shirts
Game, set, match
Anyone familiar with the Paris-based designer Yaz Bukey will know that she has an insatiable appetite for pop culture. Like the butt emoji is to Kim K, red lips call to mind the Ottoman princess' (yes, she's royalty) eponymous label Yazbukey — of which her quirky accessories and jewellery can be summed up in one simple word: Fun.
Injecting the lifestyle and sporting name Lacoste with her quintessentially cheeky ethos, a playful crocodile and three expressive tennis balls up the ante on their summer polo shirts. "We created three characters for a tennis match — or a game of seduction — with four players: A crocodile and three tennis balls. Three balls capable of emotions playing with an amorous crocodile," Bukey says of the collaboration.
Game for a showdown on court or prefer to spectate with a champagne flute in hand? Either way, Yazbukey's take on Lacoste is an ace in hand when it comes to racking up the style points.
The Lacoste x Yazbukey collection will be available mid-May 2017 at all Lacoste stores.
