Lacoste dedicates an interactive exhibition to 85 years of heritage

Unearthing history

Located at Raffles City, the brand's origin and evolution beckons 14 to 24 June

Rome wasn't built in a day, and Lacoste, now synonymous with the polo tee and crocodile motif, certainly didn't get to where it is today in a mere decade. It's been 85 years and counting, with the French name to celebrate this milestone by inviting one and all to experience its rich history in an upcoming exhibition at Singapore's Raffles City.

Housed in a contemporary facade, the chronicle of founder and tennis player René Lacoste, along with the brand's iconic garment (the L. 12. 12 polo shirt) is told through chronophotography — a vintage technique of showcasing motion in print. Encouraging exhibition goers to get involved, interactive sites such as an embroidery station; a digital book; a showcase of their 85th anniversary collection with pieces inspired by each of the eight decades; and a quiz, provide tactile experiences. From the last of which, visitors will be eligible to win a wardrobe makeover and receive a gift with purchase upon participation.

From 14 - 24 June 2018, 10:00am till 10:00pm. Located at Raffles City Shopping Centre, level 1.
