The independent social enterprise of Kate Spade & Company reshapes underprivileged societies one woman at a time

Kate Spade is all for women and you should be too. If you haven't gotten the memo, we're no longer in a world where girls don't run it — from ass-trumping Hillary Clinton to teen business mogul Kylie Jenner, females are no longer voiceless, powerless and purposeless.

Introducing the power females possess to the underserved population of Rwanda's Masoro is Kate Spade & Company's for-profit initiative, On Purpose, that aims to provide economic stability, health and welfare to the local women. For two years, the program has helped train and teach 150 of them to become entrepreneur artisans who are able to support both their families and themselves. Unravelling their true potential and self-confidence, these craftswomen increasingly participate in household decision-making and take charge of their own lives. When women thrive, amazing things take place: families become stronger, neighbours are inspired and communities change for the better.

Celebrating On Purpose's milestone, Kate Spade fall 2016 collection features handmade accessories these Masoro artisan women crafted. Totes, clutches or wristlets, sport one on and take your part in empowering fellow women to transform themselves, families, communities and beyond.

The On Purpose fall 2016 collection will be available in Kate Spade New York boutiques at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Department Store on mid-September.
