Jared Leto's not your run-of-the-mill Hollywood fixture. For one, he has real talent. How many winners of the Academy Award (he bagged the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Dallas Buyers Club) can you name who have also made it into the Guinness World Records for his other forte? As the frontman of Thirty Seconds to Mars, he helped induct his band by performing 300 live shows during the tour of their critically and commercially acclaimed album, 'This Is War' — the most shows played during a single album cycle by any musical entity, ever.
As it turns out, fashion is a strong suit for the actor-musician too. Often photographed on FROW of the Gucci shows and in the designer duds off stage, it comes to no surprise that his savvy style is tapped to represent another Italian brand, Carrera, who specially designed two pieces of eyewear inspired by none other than Alessandro Michele's muse.
In two statement models — a pair of sunglasses and optical frames — the unisex assemblage is a perfect embodiment of Leto's rebellious style. Both in evergreen rectangular shapes with a touch of '60s aesthetics, adjustable nose pads and a semi-soft matte material engineer the glasses, bold colours and up-to-date UV protection steered with anti-ageing technology complete the shades.
