Late graphic designer Ikko Tanaka's works live on in Issey Miyake
Issey Miyake first unveiled his homage to graphic designer Ikko Tanaka in 2016. The latter, world reknowned for his style of punchy abstracts, has commanded Miyake's regard for his prolific influence — now celebrating Tanaka's work for the third time in spring/summer 2018.
Three key motifs lend themselves to the collection fashioned from natural fabrics. 'Rope', 'Gradation' and 'Work: Q', colour Miyake's considered silhouttes — devised to parlay the impact of Tanaka's graphics to full potential with each step its wearer takes.
