The Iris & Ink cold weather digs you can actually wear in Singapore
As far as fashion destinations go, most labels are clear on their home turf. Let's see: Tommy Hilfiger's centres on the preppy; Marc Jacobs goes to town with the moody; Vivienne Westwood monopolises the streets of punk; and Gucci fills the fields with the quirky.
Iris & Ink — conceived by the in-house team at The Outnet.com — may not play on the same luxury terrain as its elite neighbours, but like any successful brand, it doesn't stray from this design hallmark. True to its commitment to the classics, Iris & Ink's fall/winter collection is another example of its ace in the assembly of wardrobe staples.
This season, Iris & Ink gives our everyday heroes a new lease on life. Camisole tops and slinky dresses are trimmed with lace, pinstripes on the navy suits are rendered diagonal for a waist-cinching illusion, black trousers and dark-washed denim are subtly flared, while crisp shirts and wool sweaters (seen below) are treated with a dose of the la mode du jour, the statement sleeve.
Not to be outshone are the outerwear (the grey teddy bear coat belted feels like a cocoon of cloud on the skin) or the footwear, with the knotted satin mule being an editor-favourite.
