1. Prince Charles launches fashion collection.

First Meghan Markle, now Prince Charles. The royal is next in line to launch his own capsule of menswear and womenswear, dubbed Modern Artisan Project. The 17-piece collection, created in partnership with Yoox Net-a-Porter, was designed by students and graduates from Politecnico di Milano. It will drop next summer for fall/winter with proceeds to support The Prince's Foundation charity.

 

2. Fendi releases new must-have bag.

Launched as part of the Resort 2020 collection, the FF Tote is available in three sizes (small, medium, and large, though the latter is unavailable in Singapore at the moment) and five colourways (pink, red, white, blue, and black).

 

3. Thom Browne announces co-ed show.

Browne will present both his menswear and womenswear line together moving forward. His first co-ed show will debut Paris Fashion Week fall/winter 2020 come 1 March next year.

 

4. Disney joins forces with Kith.

The 80-piece fashion partnership with the streetwear label celebrates the 90th anniversary of Disney’s iconic Mickey Mouse with co-branded apparel, footwear, and accessories for adults and kids. Available 18 November.

 

5. Nike creates unique shoes for medical workers.

After rounds of product testing and feedback at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, Nike has launched the Nike Air Zoom Pulse. Design features include protective PU-coated synthetic vamp for easy cleaning and elastic strap for convenient access. The line will be retailed from 7 December.

 

6. Olivia Palermo launches eponymous label.

After years of being a celebrated fashion influencer, Palermo adds fashion designer to her resumé. “Timeless, polished, and eclectic”, the Olivia Palermo Collection has 52 styles and will be released in February 2020.

 

7. Martin Margiela debuts documentary.

Known to be a recluse, the feature-length documentary titled Martin Margiela In His Own Words will shed light on the creative legend's life and work. Directed by Reiner Holzemer, the film premiered at the Doc NYC film festival on 8 November. International release dates have not been announced.

 

8. Snapchat drops new eyewear.

Snapchat Spectacles 3 is the company’s latest attempt at selling augmented reality glasses. On a limited production run, they are priced at US$380 each.

 

9. Bao Bao Issey Miyake opens concept store at Ion Orchard while Coach lights up Raffles City for Christmas.

The Bao Bao Cloud pop-up (till 29 November), the first outside of Japan, showcases the customisable Prism Pochette bag with 78 design permutations. On the other hand, Coach’s installation (till 26 December) retails their holiday collection. Remember to check out its 60-metre Christmas tree outside the mall.


10. Joel Mcloughlin called out on social media over alleged copying.

The London menswear blogger’s collection of bags with UK fast fashion e-tailer Jaded London looked reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s Soft Trunk bags by Virgil Abloh.
