1. Prada's Dreamscape pop-up opened at Paragon.
The pop-up space, open from 10 to 27 December 2019, stocks a limited selection of goods that draw from the fall/winter 2019 season's floral motifs. Look out for the silk foulard scarves, which bear the Dreamscape collection's key flower prints.
2. Gentle Monster is offering special Christmas packaging.
For a limited time, the funky South Korean eyewear brand is offering a special gift packaging named 'Good Dog'. The fuzzy soft toy doubles as an eyewear case, and can be double purposed as a quirky bag. Grab it quick, though, because Good Dog is limited to one per customer once it's available from 15 December 2019.
3. Beyonce is relaunching Ivy Park with Adidas.
The superstar is reviving her activewear line Ivy Park with two key differences: it'll be in partnership with Adidas and gender neutral. Beyonce credits the latter change to a lot of male interest in the line, which, considering her massive gay fan base, makes absolute sense.
4. Elohim By Sabrina Goh and Star Wars are releasing their third collaboration.
The Singaporean designer has teamed up with Disney Singapore to create a new collection, titled Equipoise, to mark the upcoming Rise of Skywalker film. Equipoise will feature 26 limited edition styles that play off Goh's signature silhouettes while riffing off the dual light and dark sides of the force. Shop the range from 18 December 2019.
5. Louis Vuitton launched a League of Legends capsule collection.
The first-of-its-kind capsule collection will draw references from both the game's universe as well as Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquiere's personal inspirations. Expect iconic styles like the Neverfull and Bumbag, and shoes like the Archlight sneakers and Star Trail boot in a unique monogram canvas designed for this collection. Shop the collection on Louis Vuitton's e-commerce store.
6. Pantone announced their colour of 2020.
Come 2020, the colour to know is PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue. The colour company is ascribing calm, confidence, and stability to Classic Blue, which is perhaps a concise summary of the zeitgeist's desires as we turn the chapter on a new decade.
7. Marc Jacobs re-entered menswear.
The American designer, who's been absent from the men's market for a while, quietly launched a range of male pieces for his The Marc Jacobs label. These will start with designs from his collaborations with the Peanuts comics and the illustrator Magda Archer, and can be shopped online.
8. Nike is launching a swimwear line for hijab wearers.
About time! The sportswear giant announced it would be retailing the new line from 1 February 2020 online, offering options from full body swimsuits to separates like a hijab, tunic top and leggings designed for the water.
9. Celine made TikTok star Noen Eubanks its new campaign face.
Although the TikTok provenance is surprising, 18-year-old Noen Eubanks is perfectly to Hedi Slimane's DNA: svelte, blonde, and fresh-faced. Interestingly, the Parisian brand is calling Eubanks a 'teen idol', steering away from mentions of TikTok or influencer.
