Net-a-Porter to retail children's clothing, kickstarts with Gucci

A six week Gucci Kids pop-up marks the e-tailer's inaugural kidswear selection

Following the footsteps of Balenciaga (its mini-me range is readily available online via the likes of Matchesfashion.com and Ssense.com) Gucci's children's clothing is soon to be part of an ephemeral one-stop shopping experience for parents perusing Net-a-Porter

For a period of six weeks, the e-tailer is to stock the Florentine house's garments and accessories for young ones aged 12 and under. The selection will closely mirror Gucci's ready-to-wear aesthetic, boasting pieces like the now familiar monogram waist bag, logo shirt, GG buckle belt, Horsebit loafer, fur mule, patchwork denim and, animal motifs plus floral prints that'll certainly start 'em early on statement clothing.

While addressing the key launch that is their first-ever childrenswear offering, Net-a-Porter & Mr Porter President Alison Loehnis hinted at more in the works. She said, "With Mr Porter's kidswear project also underway, this really marks the beginning of something special."
