Givenchy launches a children's wear collection for the cool kids in town
Punk with my heart
They have a knack for getting on your nerves but we'd be lying if we said they're not the best thing on the planet. And it's about time Givenchy shared our affection for the bratty bunch, starting with a clothing collection fashioned just for the ickle ones aged 0-12.
Echoing the free-spirited punk vibes of the French label's bread and butter, the "mini me" versions are imbued with pieces belonging in both streetwear and classic brackets. T-shirts emblazoned with messages "I Feel Love" and "Givenchy Paris", bomber jackets and jogging pants make up some of the key looks, while a selection of couture-inspired pieces punctuate the collection with pizzazz, tailored for special occasions not involving burp clothes. Keep a lookout for a certain little cream ruffled dress; it serves as a sweet reminder of Givenchy's haute capabilities.
Givenchy Kids — similar to that of the label's womenswear and menswear lines — will be produced twice a year, with each collection offering about 130 pieces: 60 for girls, 40 for boys and 30 for babies.
Available from July 2017 in stores and online.
