Ex-Mulberry creative director launches own label
After parting ways with the British luxury house, Emma Hill makes a comeback with her first independent venture

The brains behind Mulberry It bags such as the Alexa and Del Rey, Hill is set to launch her very own accessories line, Hill & Friends.

Co-founded with former Mulberry brand director, Georgia Fendley, Hill & Friends's debut collection is due to be showcased during London Fashion Week in September as first reported by WWD. Her line of bags and accessories for spring/summer 2016 will be immediately available for purchase on Net-A-Porter and its very own e-commerce site the day after its presentation.

While accessories will be the brand's main focus, talks of ready-to-wear are in the pipeline as well as plans for two flagships, one each in London and New York.

Having designed accessories for Marc Jacobs, Chloé and Calvin Klein prior to Mulberry, we can't wait to see what she has to bring to the table. Perhaps another celebrity tie-in? One thing's for sure, we'll be looking forward to the party of a presentation Hill has been known to throw — with furry friends included, we hope.
