Converse makes a case for corduroy with '90s-inspired street label, MadeMe
Decade of the millennium
The '90s decade might officially be over, but its sensibilities aren't a thing of the past. Joining brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Puma eager to unearth the years' treasures, Converse taps another name equally enamoured with the era for a co-collection: MadeMe, a womenswear clothing from New York City.
Designed by brand founder Erin Magee, the Converse One Star sneaker channels its inspiration in corduroy and suede uppers spliced with napa leather, atop platform soles. With the raver's wardrobe in mind, tracksuits, halter tops and corduroy backpacks in yellow, green, black and baby blue hues apropos of the decade further pad the collection.
