Converse looks to South Korea for its next sneaker collaboration
Converse x Kasina
Having retailed OG names such as Adidas, Stüssy, Vans and of course, Converse for two decades, you'd expect Kasina to know a little bit about the thing they call streetwear. But if there were any doubts at all, their upcoming collaboration with the sneaker company puts it to bed.
The Seoul boutique has taken Converse's classic One Star and Chuck 70 Ox models and traded their ubiquitous cotton canvas bodies for black leather, introduced a thicker black stripe wrapping around the midsole, and topped off with white stitches that pop on the inky base. Logo wise, Converse's distinctive star adorns the sneaker's sides and outsoles, with Kasina's founding year (1997) and name celebrated on the heels in Hanja characters.
Converse x Kasina:
Available at Dover Street Market Singapore from 14 July.
