The man behind the red sole was inspired by Rey's lightsaber, Captain Phasma's armour and Rose Tico's resilient spirit

With their iconic red soles, it is as though these Louboutins were actually walked off the extraterrestrial warzone of planet Crait.

The esteemed designer, Christian Louboutin, has teamed up with The Walt Disney Studios once again to create four exclusive styles and one custom design commemorating the Star Wars franchise's heroines – Rey, Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, Captain Phasma and Rose Tico.

Combining the house's signature sexy air and the futuristic flair of the Star Wars universe, the pristine objects of desire are up for auction from now till 20 December. In true Disney ethos of giving everyone their happily ever afters, the charitable initiative, Star Wars: Force of Change from Lucasfilm and Disney will donate proceeds to the Starlight Children's Foundation.

First unveiled at the film's world premiere in Los Angeles in a hyper-realistic holographic installation, the showpiece shoe, the Space Shoe, a pair of 6 inch heels armed with a sleek, new-age shell, takes cues from one of fashion's most radical footwear — Christian Louboutin's Ballerina Utima, rebirthed from its 2007 archives. The other four heels are relatively more wearable, even with their respective characters' idiosyncracies sculpted into the footwear, each bespangled with a Tie Fighter-inspired bespoke jewel.

The commemorative styles are on on auction now. Bidding will close on 20 December.
