Celebrities on the front row at a Chanel show? Nothing new by all accounts, but their thoughts on the collection are insights into the magic

Chanel's Métiers d'Art collection (also known as pre-fall) is akin to a journey of the body, mind and soul. Its runway travels the world — one season in Texas, another in Rome — for the unveiling of a meticulous story and centuries-old arcane craft. It's not just a collection, but an occassion; of which only attendees are able to witness its true heft. 

While social media has unshrouded much of fashion's hallowed halls, some things are still shuttered to a wider audience — although the privileged do allow glimpses at their perspectives.
