Chanel Coco Neige x Margot Robbie: The brand's first winter sports line taps the actress as campaign girl
While Chanel has put out sports equipment prior such as snowboards, paddleboards and yoga mats to name but a few, the French house is now due to release their first full-fledged winter sports clothing line. Called Coco Neige (translation: Coco snow), designed for both serious pow and après-ski while incorporating details that are quintessentially Chanel.
Performance garments well-equipped for tackling sub-zero mountain weather with water and windproof qualities are imbued with house codes of tweed, quilting, and camellia motifs — ranging jackets, gilets, balaclavas, ski trousers and goggles. The après assortment spans booties in Chanel's iconoclastic two-tone trope, mittens and berets; even the bags take on the line's winter ethos. The 11.12 gets a down-filled remake, while backpacks and shopper bags in nylon and shearling come quilted.
Slated to hit international stores in July and in Singapore, August, first glimpse comes by way of an ad campaign featuring I, Tonya's Margot Robbie in pieces from the inaugural 19-silhouette collection.
Coco Neige will be available in Chanel boutiques in Singapore from August 2018.
