#Buro.GivesBack Market: Pre-loved luxury items and artisanal goods from local brands
Just like old times
December is typically known as the month for gifting, but it has also always been a time for us at Buro. Singapore to give — back. At the same time, we thought long and hard as to how to celebrate our fifth anniversary in a year like this, and the answer was simple — in good spirit of giving back to the less fortunate while also standing against the detrimental consequence of waste in fashion.
Last Friday, our charity bazaar popped up at Arcc Spaces where we laid out a good haul of pre-loved luxury goods and artisanal products from local brands. Despite safe distancing measures, we caught up with some old friends, had a blast, and celebrated the weekend early. Read: Penfolds' wines going at $5 per glass, Hello Chocolate's festive nibbles, and an arsenal of beauty goods featuring Nodspark, Re:earth, and Katfood. Friend of Buro. Camira Asrori also rocked up with her very own namesake resort label. A portion of the proceeds made went to the Children's Wishing Well — bringing the total donation to $3656.19.
Apart from that, SocietyA's silent auction of the famed MINJUKIM dress (as seen on hit Korean drama "It's Okay Not To Be Okay" as well as Alexa Chung) also raised $550 — to which 100% of the proceeds will also go to the Children's Wishing Well.
