The cross-media partnership between Buro 24/7 and System magazine is set to deliver brilliant content and even greater industry clout for both publications

It's the start of a brand new era. Buro 24/7 and fashion insiders' magazine, System, have teamed up in what will be the start of a powerful and dynamic partnership that will elevate both titles' presence in the ever-changing media landscape.

Buro 24/7 has acquired a majority stake in System and will move its international headquarters from Moscow to London, as both teams, resources, and brand identities integrate to become a united cross-media company — digitally native and with global reach.

"In an era when media giants are acquiring the credibility of independent titles, Buro and System are consciously eschewing this David-and-Goliath approach in favour of a genuine partnership and shared vision with which to shape our future," says entrepreneur and Buro 24/7 founder Miroslava Duma. "This decision came very organically because our skill sets and ambitions are so complementary. Between Buro's digital expertise and global presence within both established and emerging markets, and System's editorial authority, there is clearly scope to build a nimble — and entirely independent — cross-media business in both editorial and commercial contexts. Ultimately, it's a win-win situation."

The partnership means that System's editorial team will oversee globally-distributed original content for Buro 24/7's digital network across 11 different markets in four continents, including Southeast Asia, Australia, Mexico, and the Middle East. In an age where opinion and content are key, the merging of two strong resources will only push the boundaries of both titles and lead to greater brand awareness. System's access to prominent industry movers-and-shakers (previous covers include designers Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons, and Nicolas Ghesquière to name but a few) will further strengthen the depth of Buro 24/7's content arm. On the flipside, Buro 24/7's in-house tech team and digital reach will bring System's editorial content to a different level, showcased through short films, interactive native content, and cutting-edge multi-media.
