From scarf to trench coat: Burberry can now personalise all your favourite things
You name it
When Burberry’s monogrammed blanket poncho made its first appearance on the runway — casually draped on Cara Delevingne’s right shoulder while spelling out her initials ‘CJD’ like it’s NBD — it practically spurred a fashion movement that had the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung clamouring for one of their own. The storied British house is taking it up a notch this season by adding more products you can personalise with initials and symbols.
For starters, monogramming is now complimentary for Burberry’s Scottish-woven cashmere scarf. The choice of embroidery or crystal application have also acquired 15 new thread shades and 15 crystal colours, bringing it up to 45 hues to opt from. Add in a ♥ symbol to signify endearment, or choose a larger font size for a noteworthy one-lettered initials.
Not limited to scarves, the legendary trench coat can subtly bear your initials behind its placket with a selection of 15 thread shades, and up to three letters. What’s more? Think a military-inspired Rucksack with embroidered patch-on letters, leather cardholders imprinted with your name in gold, or My Burberry flaçons inscribed with a loved one’s initials. If there's any issue with gift-picking this year, it's the splendour of choices, choices and choices.
