British Fashion Awards 2015: A holiday affair
Shining, shimmering, splendid
The sleighbells ring and Christmas carols may still be a month away, but the holiday spirit flooded the red carpet last night at the 2015 British Fashion Awards. All smiles and sparkles, fashion's It-list turned up in exuberant ensembles, delivering a lively start to the celebratory night.
Draped in glittery gowns, the already flawless Karlie Kloss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley turned heads with their ethereal presence. Chanel's head designer and godfather of fashion Karl Lagerfeld was also in on the action, looking festive in a shimmery jacket. Other notable personalities in similarly high spirits were Jo Elvin, Kristina Bazan, Malaika Firth and Jacquetta Wheeler.
Lagerfeld aside, the men took a subtler approach by donning suits with satin finishes. Gucci's creative director and International Fashion Award winner Alessandro Michele wore his own flamboyant refined creation, an approriately exultant outfit to receive his award in. Wearing a psychedelic printed jacket, fashion's loverboy Lucky Blue Smith has never looked more dapper. With the jolly season gaining fast on us all, you'd never go wrong with taking notes from these red carpet mavens.
