Best dressed at Venice Film Festival 2016 — Day 5: All-white affair
If you thought white was strictly reserved for walking down the aisle, think again
We’re officially halfway through the 73rd Venice Film Festival, and the best-dressed guests on day 5 were making a case for the classic white dress. As fail-proof as LBDs are, going white can make a major statement on the red carpet, especially with its unspoken connotations to old-school Hollywood glamour (thanks to Marilyn Monroe).
Keeping things simple at the Kineo Diamanti Award Ceremony, Italian actress Anna Foglietta proved that less truly is more with a high-neck, low-back dress. On the flip side, Spanish actress Rocío Muñoz Morales went full-on textured with an elaborate lace gown paired with a vampy lip to amp up the drama. Over at the premiere of The Distinguished Citizen (El Ciudadano Ilustre), Argentine actress Andrea Frigerio donned a streamlined number embellished with pearls to match her shimmering teardrop earrings.
