Best dressed at Cannes Film Festival 2016 — Day 9 and 10: Textural dimension
Starlets and stunners
Day 9 and 10 of the 69th Cannes Film Festival saw the red carpet attendees jazz up their ensembles with texture
Day 9 of the 69th Cannes Film Festival screened Xavier Dolan's It's Only the End of the World, and Day 10, The Neon Demon by Nicolas Winding Refn. Beyond mixing prints, the starlets in attendance brought a textural dimension to the red carpet this time around. Both Alessandra Ambrosio and Elle Fanning worked Zuhair Murad's fantastical creations, with the model stunning in silver and the young actress peppered in blooms — all appliquéd for that 3D effect.
Model and actress Aymeline Valade rocked hardly your average floral frock, layered with cheeky pleating peeking out of a high slit. Milla Jovovich put a spin on the classic black dress with intricate beaded detailing courtesy of Prada, as Camilla Kerslake opted for a sheer black number elevated with embroidery. Bella Heathcote's gorgeous, scarlet netted dress on the other hand, demonstrated just why Mr. Armani of Armani Privé never fails to hold court on the red carpet.
