Here's where you can check out what the avid BAPE collector has amassed over the years
There are but a few labels in the world capable of garnering an extremely devoted following. Supreme has its addicts, Adidas its (pre-Yeezy) sneakerheads, and BAPE, its fanatic; ones who've pledged loyalty way before a buzzy collab put the brand on the hypebeast's map.
Marking the brand's 7th anniversay in Singapore and paying tribute to both their collectors and creative alliances (Mastermind's Honma Masaaki and Chrome Hearts' Richard and Laurie Stark come to mind), A Bathing Ape has launched ARCHIVE by BAPE Singapore: A two week mini exhibit showcasing the best of a decade.
Encased in a transparent structure, BAPE fans can now pop down to Mandarin Gallery for pure voyeuristic pleasure for a peek into what the bedroom of a true blue collector looks like. It's a curation of collaborative footwear (think: BAPE x Adidas Superstar from 2003), T-shirts released between 2005 to 2014 (we're talking tie-ups with Linkin Park and Sanrio's Hello Kitty) and the coveted Be@rbicks — sourced from our island's biggest BAPE fanatics.
Motorheads too, will have a field day. Flanking the display is a Mercedez-Benz G-class swathed in the brand's notable camo print. A photo op, in a nutshell. Whether you do it for the gram or for the memories, snap away in peace knowing we don't judge. In fact, we'll go after you.
Visit ARCHIVE by BAPE Singapore from now till 23 April 2017 at Mandarin Gallery (public walkway).
