Burberry introduces their latest Pocket Bag with Bella Hadid.

Chief Creative Officer, Riccardo Tisci, reveals that inspiration for the brand's new structured tote was gleaned from an archival Burberry bag. The recent rendition comes with a front pocket and leather taping that pays homage to Burberry's equestrian and military history. Hadid fronts the campaign, an embodiment of the animal figures featured in the campaign through "her raw power and feline femininity." Get your paws on it at all Burberry boutiques now.

 

Gentle Monster partners up with Diplo to drop a new eyewear collection.

The DJ, dad, and, uh, space cowboy has launched a pair of futuristic frames with the South Korean brand. Not only do they up your style quota, they also supposedly serve as excellent protection against unidentified "glowing spheres", as evidenced by their ad campaign. We'll take their word for it and pre-order a pair now. Speaking of eyewear, however...

 

Chanel launches online eyeglasses store.

You can now spare a trip to your nearest Chanel boutique should new glasses be the sole item on your shopping agenda. With up to 300 styles available on their site, we're sure you're bound to find a pair suiting to your taste. All you need is a laptop camera, good lighting, and the patience to filter through a slew of designs ranging from understated wire frames to pearl chains.

 

Birkenstock and Valentino are teaming up once again.

The full range comprises the classic Birkenstock silhouette decked out in oversize camouflage patterns of military green, vibrant yellow, and grey. There is also a tantalizing glimpse of the Valentino logo by its sides. Be sure to snap 'em up when they hit shelves beginning 3 September.

 

You can now buy The Met-inspired jewellery.

This was done in a bid to celebrate The Met's 150th birthday. And what better way to celebrate than with some exclusive merch? Brooklyn-based jewellery label, Catbird, stepped up to design The Met earrings, necklaces, and bracelets — all of which are inspired by works of women artists in its permanent collection. The museum's iconic metal admission button has also been reinvented this year and spun into a 14-karat solid-gold charm strung on a silk string.

 

NYFW will proceed as planned.

Governor, Andrew Cuomo, confirmed that the show will go on from 13 to 17 September. "New York City is the fashion capital of the world and New York Fashion Week celebrates the ingenuity of this city, and our unmatched creative talent," he stated in a press release. "The pandemic is far from over, but we're proud to support event organizer IMG in moving forward with NYFW, in adherence with strict state public health guidance." Expect to see presentations from Christian Siriano, Jason Wu, and Rebecca Minkoff.

 

Polo Ralph Lauren celebrates real-life healthcare heroes at the U.S. Open.

The American fashion company has been outfitting the tennis championship since 2005. Instead of showcasing their latest designs in 2020, they will be dressing ball people and court officials in light grey polo shirts emblazoned with the names of healthcare workers pulled from New York City's Mount Sinai Health System. Founder, Ralph Lauren, sums up the initiative as "a team celebrating another team." Well-said, indeed.
