Parting is such sweet sorrow — Alessandro Sartori leaves his post as artistic director of Berluti

After a successful five-year run with the Parisian house, Alessandro Sartori has announced his departure from Berluti this season. The award-winning designer — who was previously the creative director at Ermenegildo Zegna for the 'Z Zegna' line — was appointed artistic director in 2011 where he debuted Berluti's first ready-to-wear collection.

Sartori's last collection for Berluti was presented in Paris for fall/winter 2016 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, an extravagant affair befitting his final show. As he leaves Berluti for future endeavours, Sartori expresses his appreciation and gratitude: "I am very proud to have had the opportunity to develop this extraordinary company and to have created a silhouette for the Berluti man. I want to thank Antoine Arnault and Berluti for the trust they have put in me."
