Adidas Originals’ latest women’s-exclusive sneakers put a colourful new spin on its iconic and nostalgic Sleek line
The original Adidas Sleek collection — known to embody comfort and practicality in its tennis-inspired streamlined designs — is getting an upgrade. The sports powerhouse's newest release is seeking to revolutionize the sneaker industry by challenging the main feature of a quintessential sneaker, the laces, by incorporating unconventional stylistic designs in two of its three releases from the new collection. Think: old-school velcro straps and zipper closures. In an attempt to pacify die-hard fans of the old Sleeks (and proponents of shoelaces), the collection also pays tribute to its original iteration by retaining the laces in the third and last design. Channeling angular proportions and primary-coloured bases, the diverse aesthetics of these kicks are guaranteed to impress sneaker aficionados and the common man alike.
