Adidas Originals' latest EQT collection is a nod to its genesis
Back to the '90s
While high fashion continues its love affair with the '80s, the sporting giants know that the '90s is where the gold is in the realm of kicks. Adidas Original's latest Equipment (EQT) range looks to its origins — the decade of boybands — to offer up fall's selection of tracksuits and sneaks. The clothing in the ingaugural EQT colour scheme of white, grey, blue and green is Adidas' nod to the city of Detroit, and is lent a sartorial edge with embroidery and reflective graphics.
As for sneakers, new releases include the EQT Racing ADV for women (rendered with a stretch-knit upper in aqua), EQT Support 93/17 for men (also featuring a a stretch-knit upper, but in black) and the EQT Support RF in two colourways, fashioned out of mesh and suede — the quintessential material combination of the '90s — for both men and women.
