Pharrell's latest 'Hu' sneaker for Adidas lands in stores this Saturday
It's no secret that Pharrell is a genius. C'mon, any tune he touches holds immense staying power on the Billboard Hot 100s and he fronts a Chanel women's tweed jacket better than Jackie O ever did. Add the insane resale price of $1499 US dollars for a pair of sneakers from his previous Adidas collab — the Hu Race NMDs — to the list, and essentially, the singer-producer has all boxes ticked on today's millennial checklist. But, the power of Pharrell is hardly waning.
Combining elements of previous Adidas smashits into one neat sneaker for his second 'Hu' release, the Tennis Hu collection takes on the court silhouette that launched many a sneaker frenzy — albeit subtly tweaked and rendered in the people's favourite fabric. Behold: A primeknit body. Talking colourways, the iconic Stan Smith green and Forrest Hill yellow are borrowed for each pair respectively.
