Timberland Pro x N.Hoolywood: Functional and fashionable workwear for on- and off-site living
Timberland Pro's new collaboration with Japanese menswear label N.Hoolywood complements hip hop's favourite high-performance boot with haute workwear-inspired clothes. Every piece of the capsule — from dungarees to hoodies and work pants — bears designer Daisuke Obana's minimalist and oversized signature, cleverly tapping into fashion's love for all things utilitarian. Whether you spend more time on websites or building sites, you'll always look up-to-code in shades of khaki, black and bold safety orange, topped off with those iconic, hard-wearing boots.
The industrial focus of Obana's Timberland Pro collection echoes that of his own label's hit fall/winter 2018 show, which was also inspired by construction workers (some of whom were cast to walk the runway). Since its 2001 debut, N.Hoolywood shows have zeroed in on archetypes across all social classes, from rough sleepers to collegiate prepsters. Only time will tell on whom Obana's electic eye — honed during his past life as a vintage dealer — will fall upon next.
The Timberland Pro x N.Hoolywood collection will launch on 17 November at Timberland stores island-wide — including Timberland at Raffles City; and N.Hoolywood dealers at Robinsons at The Heeren and Limited Edt Chamber at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
