Saint Laurent drops an all-white runner silhouette
Run baby run
In a time when sneakers take various shapes and forms — Balenciaga's Triple S recently received an additional boost in chunkiness, evolving into the Super S — Saint Laurent's departure from its steady stream of court classics is a long time coming. Monikered the Jump, the running sneaker dressed in a white leather upper and rubber sole is the bulkiest silhoutte we've seen from Saint Laurent yet — just short of tapping on the trending "ugly" aesthetic.
It favours a clean facade with minimal details and panelling, and eschews Saint Laurent's signature sneaker tongue branding for a metal monogram on the sides. With the ruckus earlier this year about Balenciaga's move to produce its key kick in China instead of Italy, we’re happy to report Saint Laurent's sneakers — including the Jump — still hail from Europe.
