Singapore pop artist Jahan's sneaker collaboration with Puma is quite literally out of this world
Local boy makes good
After the beautiful chrome Clyde sneakers from the Puma x LE x Johan mash-up "leaked" in October via KIKS Magazine Japan, it was just matter of time its thin veil dropped. Last week, a hypebeast's dream came true. At Singapore's premier sneaker boutique Limited Edt, a preview of the streetwear renderings of local pop artist Jahan Loh (lauded for his ‘Ma Ling’ luncheon meat tin paintings) on not one, but two Puma models — the centrepieces of the 4-piece 'Future Past' pack.
Alongside the iconic Clyde (below) is Puma's star du jour, the BOG Limitless (above). Both models will come in silver, holding fort a sleek, futuristic exploration-of-the-cosmos theme that takes inspiration from Jahan's signature spaceman motif — a feature reflected on the insoles of the shoes and within the Singapore-exclusive drawer box packaging.
"The spaceman is my alter ego, travelling through time and space. I am not sure of my exact destination but I know I am travelling on a right path," says Jahan Loh.
Rounding up the 'Future Past' collection is a Johan-customized Puma T-shirt, available for purchase in blue and grey. Fans already checking out their shopping cart with the Clyde will receive the blue tee for free; every purchase of the BOG Limited comes with the grey. As the cherry on top, one of two pins (see below) will be pre-packaged with your footwear of choice.
The Clyde retails at $180 and the BOG Limitless retails at $290. Both are available in-store exclusively at all Limited Edt outlets and online.
