Do the French do it better? Mr Porter celebrates the nation's style and culture in a 14-brand strong collaboration

To kick off the spring/summer 2019 Paris Men's Fashion Week with a bang, Mr Porter is rolling out capsule collections with 14 brands, tapping on ten French names from its existing portfolio and, bringing four others on board for the first time. Aptly monikered 'Vive la France', the brands were enlisted for their distinctive perspectives on four French cultural and lifestyle tropes — savoir-faire, Parisian street, nouvelle vague and bleu de travail (which loosely translates to blue collar) — and turning such ethos into stylish, wearable pieces.

From the likes of AMI, Maison Kitsuné, Officine Generale — favourites on the e-tailer — Hartford, Holiday Boileau, Arpenteur, J.M. Weston, Lacoste, Armor Lux, and Bleu de Chauffe, along with new blood Husbands, De Bonne Facture, Maison Labiche and Le Mont Saint Michel, the result is a distinct blend of French insouciance, ease and elegance. Think: precision tailoring, understated shirting, tongue-in-cheek printed tees and of course, stripes, stripes and more stripes.
